Dr Kok Jaan Yang is a Senior Consultant, Palliative Medicine at Parkway Cancer Centre.

Dr Kok Jaan Yang is a graduate from the medical school in Singapore. He obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff, UK in 2002. He has also spent a year in advanced training in Palliative Medicine in Melbourne, Australia, in 2004-2005. In 2007, Dr Kok Jaan Yang also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture from the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Singapore, and is a Registered Acupuncturist.

Prior to joining Parkway Cancer Centre in July 2008, Dr Kok Jaan Yang was a Consultant in Dover Park Hospice and a Visiting Consultant (Palliative Medicine) in National University Hospital Singapore.

Dr Kok Jaan Yang sat in many profession committees. He was a member of the Palliative Medicine Subspecialty Training Committee from 2007-2018, appointed by the Specialists Accreditation Board, Singapore, overseeing the training of Palliative Medicine Specialists in Singapore. From 2009 to 2019, he was as an examiner in the Exit Examinations for the Palliative Medicine Advanced Specialist Trainees in Singapore. Dr Kok Jaan Yang was also the Co-Programme Director of the SRS Diploma of Palliative Medicine Course with the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, from 2011 to 2013. He was the Founding Programme Director of the NUS Graduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine Course from 2014 to 2018. Dr Kok Jaan Yang was the past chairperson of the Training and Research Committee, Singapore Hospice Council. He was also the chairman of the organizing committee of the Singapore Palliative Care Conference 2008.

Currently Dr Kok Jaan Yang is still actively teaching Palliative Medicine in NUS Medical Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programme.
